The measuring tubes are driven to oscillate at their natural frequency (typically 80–120 Hz) by a driver coil, similar to a tuning fork.
When fluid flows through the vibrating tubes, Coriolis forces are induced, causing a measurable phase shift between the inlet and outlet sides.
Dual electromagnetic sensors detect the time delay (phase difference), which is directly proportional to the mass flow rate — independent of fluid properties.
The DSP calculates mass flow, density, and temperature simultaneously. Density is derived from tube resonant frequency; temperature from an integrated RTD.
