Start with a complete requirement
Include fluid, flow range, line size, connection, pressure, temperature, accuracy, area classification, output, destination and schedule. A complete brief makes supplier quotations comparable.
Compare technical scope, not just price
Review the sensor, transmitter, wetted materials, calibration method, certificates, drawings, spare parts and warranty. Clarify what is included and what is optional.
Verify supplier communication
Strong project communication matters for drawings, model consistency, inspection points and change control. Ask who will own technical clarification and export coordination.
Control documents and shipment
Confirm commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, calibration documents, inspection records and export packing before dispatch. Align Incoterms, payment milestones and lead time in writing.
Build repeat-order discipline
For distributors and EPC teams, keep approved models, revision-controlled drawings and a record of previous configurations. This reduces variation across repeat purchases.
