Chemical dosing requires stable measurement at the actual process range, not only a headline accuracy at full scale. Specify the chemistry, low-flow behavior and control interface as one system.
Confirm chemical compatibility
Provide chemical name, concentration, temperature, pressure, density, viscosity and any solids or gas entrainment. Select wetted materials, seals and connection components for the complete chemical duty and cleaning procedure.
Size for low-flow control
Share normal, minimum and maximum dosing rates, batch size and pump type. Review repeatability, zero stability, turndown and the meter's recommended operating range so the control loop remains useful at low flow.
Check pressure, pulsation and installation
Meter performance can be affected by pump pulsation, two-phase flow, pipe stress and unstable valves. Confirm pressure drop, back pressure, supports, isolation and the available space for maintenance.
Match outputs to the dosing system
Specify 4-20 mA, HART, RS485 Modbus, pulse or frequency outputs and define alarm, totalizer and batch-control behavior. Confirm the PLC, DCS or SCADA scaling before approving the configuration.
Keep safety documents complete
For hazardous chemicals, request the applicable Ex certificate, wiring diagram, material certificates, calibration report, dimensional drawing and operating limits. A complete document package helps process safety and commissioning teams review the installation.
Send the chemical, concentration, dosing range, pressure, temperature and control-system requirements. We can help shortlist a suitable meter.
